Lecter frames Will Graham for the murder of Abigail Hobbs. The hallucinations continue, and a good number of these scenes are reminiscent of Manhunter. One that comes to mind is the final one, with Lecter visiting Graham in his cell, a role reversal from when the opposite occurred in the Manhunter film, which is based on future events. Captivating.
What piques my interest is how different this Lecter is from the previous incarnations. He is so reserved and quiet, biding his time and never revealing his plans, save for rare snippets. The grand scheme remains under wraps, which tightly holds the viewer’s attention. I’m very excited for season 2.
